Ugh, or, Why I Really Love Cable

I'm sick. We think it started with William, then JC got it, and now they've kindly shared with me. I have a sore throat and a lovely, hacking cough that makes me feel like I'm coughing up a lung. Aren't you glad I shared that? So I spent yesterday and today on a rigorous program of napping, tea, and daytime television. No soap operas, though, I'm not that desperate! I tend toward the educational shows on Discovery and Science Channel, in addition to the old standbys of HGTV and Food Network. Stuff you can fade off in the middle of and not really miss too much. So hopefully by tomorrow I will feel (and sound!) slightly healthier and start getting caught up on all the things that are going undone at the moment. But right now? I think there's another cup of tea calling my name.
